This machine is currently in Japan. This listing is for pre-purchasing a cabinet that will be shipped in a container to the Seattle area, with logistics coordinated by our distribution partner. When you purchase, you acknowledge that you have read our sales policy and understand the purchase conditions. It will be your responsibility to arrange shipping or pick-up from the US warehouse. In principle, you will have 90 days from the purchase date or date of container arrival, whichever is later, to have the machine taken from the distributor's warehouse. The price listed is exclusive of container freight, import tariffs, and US-side domestic trucking. Contact us to get an idea of the total price. You should roughly expect freight to be $300-400 and import tariffs to be 15% of the machine price.

Cabinet Details

Control panel is a 1L4B Blast panel. We can include a brand-new reproduction Blast 2L12B from Alberto (unpopulated) for an extra $140.

This cabinet has the Nanao MS-2930 monitor. The image is bright and sharp. The tube has a small amount of burn from text at the left and right sides of the screen. We would rate it at burn level 2.5.  The convergence is fairly good for a Blast City.

The overall cabinet quality is very good. 

The speakers are in good condition and do not appear to suffer from the usual Blast speaker rot.

About This Model

After the New Astro City, Sega went on to make the Blast City: it's a lot like the Astro, but taller and more imposing, equipped with an audio amp, a tri-sync monitor, and beefier speakers beside the monitor instead of on top. Blasts can be fiddly after almost three decades of wear & tear, but there's plenty to love about them, too.
